PRIVACY AT SHOWORY
Clear information.
Clear choices.
Showory needs some information to create accounts, operate photography workspaces, provide support, and keep the service secure. We explain what we collect and why, and we keep optional marketing separate from the core service.
Information we collect
When a studio owner creates a Showory account, we collect profile information such as their name, photography studio name, email address, phone number, and account identifier. Sign-in credentials are handled separately by our authentication provider and are not included in Showory's customer directory, campaign audience, or business-operation records. As the service is used, Showory may also process studio records, client and project data, galleries, invoices, contracts, activity records, technical logs, and support communications.
Why we use it
We use profile and workspace information to operate the service, provide requested features, communicate important service information, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, maintain necessary business records, process payments and subscriptions, and improve Showory. We aim to collect only information that has a clear operational purpose.
Marketing is optional
Product announcements, launch news, tips, offers, and other commercial emails are separate from essential account and service messages. Studio owners can choose whether to receive marketing email when they sign up. The marketing option is not pre-selected, choosing “no” does not reduce the core service, and consent can be withdrawn later.
If marketing email is enabled, Showory keeps a record of the consent choice, including when and where it was made, so that campaign audiences can be managed responsibly.
Service providers
Showory may use service providers for infrastructure, authentication, storage, email delivery, payments, monitoring and related platform operations. These providers process information only as reasonably needed to provide their services to Showory. Depending on the provider and service, information may be processed in Canada or other countries.
We do not sell personal information
Showory does not sell personal information. We do not provide studio or client information to advertisers for their own independent marketing purposes.
Safeguards
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect account and studio information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, authentication, secure transport, backups, logging and provider-level security controls. No online service can promise absolute security, so we continue to review safeguards as Showory grows.
Trials, retention and deletion
A new eligible studio may receive one one-time seven-day trial with up to 5 GB of trial storage. The trial does not restart after expiry, after cancelling a paid plan, or after deleting and recreating an operational account with an email address that has already used a Showory trial. If the studio does not activate a paid plan, normal workspace access is locked when the trial ends.
The inactive trial workspace is retained for up to 30 days after the trial ends so the owner can activate a paid plan and continue where they left off. If no paid plan is activated by the retention deadline, Showory may permanently delete the inactive trial workspace, uploaded files, profile, and authentication account.
To prevent repeated free-trial abuse after an operational account is deleted, Showory may retain a service-only, one-way keyed fingerprint derived from the account email address. The fingerprint is used only to determine whether that email has already received a Showory free trial. It is not the original email address, password, gallery content, client data, or a copy of the deleted workspace.
Paid-account cancellation follows a separate recovery policy described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Some information may also need to be retained where required for legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup purposes.
